July 16, 2014 This is life in Gaza

update: While bombs continue to hit Gaza, my best friend’s family, MY family, has been notified over 6 hours ago to leave their home.Electricity is out and their local water supply has been bombed. NO water.

They refuse to leave their homes even after their neighbor’s home had a
“warning” bomb thrown on their roof and was destroyed.

Here is what they said,
“We are no better than any other Palestinians in Gaza, we are all dying and there is no where to go.”

They said they were told to go to schools for “shelter.” Why don’t you go, I asked.

“Because they herded up last time and bombed the school, to kill us all at once.”

THIS is life in Gaza, murdering en masse when the Israelis can and one by one if they have to.

So, if you or anyone you know went to the iftar at the White House, or is going to attend “interfaith” trips to Israel, let them know I will gladly give them the phone number of loved ones in Gaza to hear from them WHY they should rethink their acts of complicity.

Let’s hope they make it through the night and survive to tell their stories.

They are of the bravest people I’ve ever known…
